We live in a world of smart gadgets and social media we are connected with everyone in every corner of the world and the other side of the story is we are loosing connect with ourselves. I feel that often, do you? In fact I am the happiest person to move away and disconnect from my smarties my smart gadgets and just soak into solitude to refresh my spirit a few moments each day. The fact is that each one of us is blessed with infinite potential and talents hidden deep within waiting to surface and manifest to full power. There are 5 universal ways to unwind and unlock your infinite potential all it takes is effort that’s it.

1. WITNESSING NATURE

Witnessing nature awakens, restores and rejuvenates every cell in the body opening pathways to holistic well-being.

Witnessing nature is the easiest way to connect with ourselves. The unmatched power of a sunrise or a sunset is magical  and does wonders. The infinite patterns colours, the magnificent hues of a sunset or sunrise reflect nature’s infinite creativity and generosity.

Walking amidst the Cascading bare foot on sand or by shimmering water bodies is therapeutic. Listening to the sounds of nature – rustling leaves, chirping birds and gurgling water or ocean waves soothes the spirit. In the word of world renowned social entrepreneur Mary Davis “A walk in nature walks the soul back home.”

Whether you watch the colours of a sunrise or sunset walk through the greens or by a water body or listen to the sounds of nature they are are all forms of meditation in action. Nature’s stillness permeates your being and stills the mind.

Witnessing nature is enough to awaken the infinite potential and the abundance of talents that throbs within – waiting to surface and manifest to full power.
NATURE is the MASTER KEY to unlocking INFINITE POTENTIAL.

2. PRACTICING YOGA

Aptly described by the world renowned Yoga Guru BKS Iyengar “Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.”

From injuries to yoga and from yoga to being injury free is my experience of Yoga. I was into high paced aerobics and gymming since the 90’s. Often a victim of ankle and / knee injuries. On one such occasion I remember consulting my General Physician Dr.Jawahar Mukhtyar with injuries after gymming and he mentioned ‘What you are doing can also be achieved through yoga. Yoga uses the body weight.’ I was like really but it’s so slow and so boring. Dr. Jawahar Mukhtyar is blessed and gifted with the caliber to address the root cause vs the usual method of prescribing antibiotics.

In those days I had the gym fever. Though in denial mode to what Dr.Jawahar Mukhtyar suggested, knowing him and his ways of treating illness and / or injuries deep within I believed what he said and I began experimenting with different forms of yoga.

To tell you the truth I found yoga initially super boring the restless me waiting in a pose focusing on the breath wasn’t really me. However, one fine day I stumbled upon Namaste Yoga by Kate Potter and I fell in love with Yoga for good. I realised the truth of Dr. Jawahar Mukhtyar words ‘What you are doing can also be achieved through yoga. Yoga uses the body weight’.

Namaste Yoga uses the breath and body weight in a dynamic and rhythmic sequence. Each sequence within the Namaste Yoga episodes in Season 1 and Season 2 is different. The poses in the sequence are integrated with each other in a fluidic and a graceful manner. As you move through the poses seamlessly you experience that the mind, body and spirit aligning effortlessly. The music, the beat and the rhythm is an inspiration. I used to gym for 90 minutes a day now with Namaste Yoga in 23 minutes a day I breathe wellness day in and day out. My journey in to yoga has revealed that fitness is seasonal wellness is eternal.

It’s also a well known fact that yoga is the most effective to address the root cause of most illnesses. Yoga aligns the mind, body and spirit creating inner balance and harmony synchronising the beat and rhythm of life opening pathways to eternal wellness.

3. MEDITATING

In the words of the world renowned Dr.Deepak Chopra’s “Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet it is a way of entering the quiet that is already there – buried under the 50000 thoughts the average person thinks everyday.”

I was introduced to meditation as a teenager. Being the typical teenager I never believed in meditation. I would always wait for the meditation teacher / the master of ceremonies to just say open your eyes. I would be like God for how long do I keep my eyes shut. Initially I almost felt like a kid who was being punished. Meditation was completely alien.

Over the years I just began drifting into meditation spontaneously and effortlessly. The key lies in making the effort each day. One day meditation becomes as easy as breathing.

In fact one of the easiest ways to meditate is to focus on the breath. The breath is the bridge that connects the mind and the body. As you begin focusing on the breath and you breathe into every part of your body the body begins relaxing and stress levels decrease calming the mind. The result is entering your inherent serene state of mind of absolute stillness from where core strength, focus and clarity emerge unlocking infinite potential.

Through out the day whenever you experience challenging moments just focus on your breath for 60 seconds and see what happens.

4. LISTENING TO INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

True to the words of the globally favourite Elton John “Music has healing power.” Be it the piano, guitar or sitar or any other instrument/s, every time the chord/s of an instrument/s strikes the sound reverberates within connecting parts of your being and soothing the spirit opening channels to wellness.

I love music be it western, eastern or fusion in fact more often than not my days begin and conclude with music.. Listening to soft instrumental music at night always leads to sound sleep and waking up to instrumental music is adds power to each sunrise

5. SPORTS AND THE OUTDOORS

Whether it’s football, trekking, tennis, swimming, or a run outdoors or any of your favourite sports. Playing sports has the power to distress the mind and detoxing the body while bringing a healthy competitive edge.

In fact I remember when I used to play tennis every time I would smash a shot with the racquet it was as if all accumulated unexpressed anger or stress would just wash away with each shot it was exhilarating.

Trekking has been another outdoor favourite. On my 1st trek to the Himalayas I realised I had enormous stamina. Just trekking for hours at a go was sheer joy. Being soaked in the green valley sitting on the ground for a meal connecting with the earth inhaling the fragrance of the earth was the best experience of my lifTrekking almost felt like inheriting the strength and power of the Himalayan Ranges

In the The words of American Football player Louis Leo Holtz “Ability is what you are capable of doing, motivation determines what you do, attitude determines how well you do it.” Without doubt any form of sports has the effect of bringing out a healthy competitive spirit. Whether it’s a game of tennis or trekking or football the magic of sports is a given
